Kaspa is an open source, decentralized Layer-1 project based on Proof of Work (PoW). It employs the blockDAG architecture which allows rapid block rates and enables effective solo-mining at lower hashrates. Total supply of Kaspa is 28.7 Billion coins with an emission schedule that halves once per year via monthly reductions by a factor of (1/2)^(1/12). Kaspa is based on the kHeavyHash algorithm and can be mined through GPU, FPGA and ASIC mining equipment.
ANTPOOL is pleased to launch the KAS mining pool that highly accommodates ASIC miners. This guide will take the newly released ASIC miner, KA3, as an example and walk you through the process of setting up and mining KAS with your ASIC miner in ANTPOOL.
Step 1: Create a KASPA wallet address
You’ll need a wallet address to check and receive payouts to mine Kaspa with ANTPOOL. You may get a wallet on the KASPA Resources Page. Or use a wallet from an exchange. Note: You should always do your own due diligence when choosing a wallet provider or exchange.
Step 2: Sign up for an ANTPOOL account
You will need to create an ANTPOOL account before mining Kaspa. If you do not have one yet, please click here to register.
Setting an account_name or sub_accounts_name is required for configuration, as they link to your ASIC miners and function to track your mining payouts.
Step 3: Configure Your ASIC Miner
1. Connect your ASIC miner to your local network and access its configuration interface using a web browser. Refer to your ASIC miner's manual for specific instructions on how to access and configure it. For example, you can find the KA3 manual here.
2. In the configuration interface, locate the mining settings. You will need to specify the mining pool's URL, your ANTPOOL username, miner name, and miner password.
3. Configure your ASIC miner with the following settings:
- Mining Pool URL:
stratum+tcp://kas.antpool.com:9031
stratum+tcp://kas.antpool.com:443
- Miner Name: account_name.worker_name or sub_accounts_name.worker_name
- Miner Password (Optional): A password of your choice
Please note
1. Alternative ports can be used for the server. Please refer to the backup ports in the pool URL lists following the example configuration.
2. Your account_name is provided in your Account Settings. You are free to create multiple sub accounts to monitor your workers/miners.
3. worker_name is optional, but we recommend labeling each of your mining devices with a separate worker_name for more efficient monitoring.
Example configuration
A miner with the mining account username or sub accounts name apminer and a worker named ant1 who wants to connect to our pool server would configure his/her device as follows:
URL: stratum+tcp://kas.antpool.com:9031
Username: apminer.ant1
Password: 123456
Step 3: Start Mining
Save your ASIC miner's settings and start the mining process. Your ASIC miner will connect to the ANTPOOL Kaspa mining pool, and mining will commence immediately.
Step 4: Monitor Your Mining Progress
You can monitor your ASIC miner's performance, hashrate, and earnings by logging into your ANTPOOL account and accessing the mining dashboard.
Step 5: Receive Your Rewards
ANTPOOL pays out KAS rewards daily, based on the PPLNS (Pay-Per-Last-N-Shares) payout scheme with a 0.5% commission rate. Your rewards will be automatically credited to your ANTPOOL account once your earning reaches the minimum payment amount. You can check the payment in your wallet or view your payment history under “Dashboard”– “Payment History” on ANTPOOL.
Congratulations! You're now ready to mine Kaspa (KAS) with your ASIC miner in ANTPOOL.
