Alephium's token is ALPH, with a mining algorithm of Blake3 that allows participation in mining using GPU, FPGA, and ASIC mining machines.
Alephium (ALPH) is a blockchain network designed to address shortcomings in accessibility, scalability, and security experienced by today’s decentralized applications. It's built on a novel sharding algorithm called Blockflow, which enhances the UTXO model and uses a DAG data structure for consensus among shards. This approach allows Alephium to handle over 10,000 transactions per second while maintaining a seamless user experience across its sharded architecture .
ANTPOOL is pleased to introduce the ALPH mining pool, and this guide will use the ASIC miner as an example to show you how to configure and mine ALPH in ANTPOOL.
Step 1: Create a ALPH Wallet Address
To mine ALPH on ANTPOOL, you need to configure a wallet address to receive mining rewards. You can obtain a wallet on the ALPH resource page or use a wallet from an exchange. (Miners assume the risks associated with different exchanges themselves)
Step 2: Register an ANTPOOL Account
Before mining ALPH, you need to create an ANTPOOL account. If you have not registered, please click here to register. Here you can refer to the tutorial for creating a sub-account.
Step 3: Configure Your ASIC Miner
1. Connect your ASIC miner to your local network and access its configuration interface using a web browser. Please refer to your ASIC miner's manual for specific instructions on how to access and configure it.
2. In the configuration interface, find the mining settings. You need to specify the mining pool's URL, your ANTPOOL username, miner name, and miner password.
3. Configure your ASIC miner using the following settings:
- Pool URL: stratum+tcp://alph.antpool.com:9034
- Miner name: 'account_name.worker_name' or 'sub_accounts_name.worker_name'
- Miner password (optional): custom password
Please note:
1. The server can use alternative ports. Please refer to the list of alternative ports in the mining pool URL for example configurations.
2. Your 'account_name' is provided in your account settings, and users can create multiple sub-accounts for mining.
3. 'worker_name' is customizable, and we recommend tagging each mining device with a separate 'worker_name' for more effective monitoring.
Example configuration:
For a user (or sub-account) named 'apminer' and a miner named 'ant1', the configuration is as follows:
- URL: stratum+tcp://alph.antpool.com:9034
- Username: 'apminer.ant1'
- Password: '123456'
Step 4: Start Mining
Save your ASIC miner settings and start the machine. Your ASIC miner will connect to the ANTPOOL ALPHmining pool and immediately begin mining.
Step 5: Monitor Mining Progress
You can log in to your ANTPOOL account and visit the user dashboard, miner management, and other pages to view the miner's hash rate and operational status.
Step 6: Claim Mining Earnings
ANTPOOL pays ALPH rewards daily according to the PPLNS payment scheme, and once your earnings reach the minimum payout amount, your mining profits will automatically be transferred to your configured wallet address. You can check your earnings on ANTPOOL's "Earnings Payment" page.
Congratulations! Everything is ready, and you can start your ALPH mining journey in ANTPOOL. If you need additional help or encounter any issues, please contact our customer service team at the email address support@antpool.com.
Happy mining!
