Aleo's token is ALEO, with a mining algorithm of zkSNARK that allows participation in mining using GPU mining machines. Currently, only NVIDIA graphics cards are supported, with CUDA 12.4 or higher and graphics driver version 535.54.03 or above. It supports Ubuntu 20.04 or above.
Aleo is a new layer-one blockchain platform that utilizes zero-knowledge proof technology, designed to support scalable and privacy-preserving decentralized applications (dApps). Its network consensus mechanism, AleoBFT, combines Proof of Work (PoW) and Proof of Stake (PoS), generating kSNARKs proofs through PoW and utilizing PoS for real-time block finality.
ANTPOOL is pleased to introduce the ALEO mining pool, and this guide will use the GPU miner as an example to show you how to configure and mine ALEO in ANTPOOL.
Step 1: Create a ALEO Wallet Address
To mine ALEO on ANTPOOL, you need to configure a wallet address to receive mining rewards. You can obtain a wallet on the ALEO resource page or use a wallet from an exchange. (Miners assume the risks associated with different exchanges themselves)
Step 2: Register an ANTPOOL Account
Before mining ALEO, you need to create an ANTPOOL account. If you have not registered, please click here to register. Here you can refer to the tutorial for creating a sub-account.
Step 3: Configure Your GPU Miner
1. Visit the following address to download the GPU Miner
https://github.com/AntPoolDev/aleo-miner-antpool/releases/tag/antpool_prover-v1.0.0-linux
2. Configure your GPU miner using the following settings:
Usage:
./antpool_prover --pool aleo.antpool.com:9038 --account account_name --custom_name worker_name
--pool: The pool’s address
--account: The account of Antpool. Example:test
--custom_name: The workername of your account. Example:001
--gpu_index: The GPU indice which you want to mining. Optional. Default: All available GPUs.
A sample:
./antpool_prover --pool aleo.antpool.com:9038 --account test --custom_name 001
Please note:
1. The server can use alternative ports. Please refer to the list of alternative ports in the mining pool URL for example configurations.
2. Your 'account' is provided in your account settings, and users can create multiple sub-accounts for mining.
3. 'custom_name' is customizable, and we recommend tagging each mining device with a separate 'custom_name' for more effective monitoring.
Step 4: Start Mining
Once the program starts, your GPU miner will connect to the ANTPOOL ALEO mining pool and begin mining immediately.
Step 5: Monitor Mining Progress
You can log in to your ANTPOOL account and visit the user dashboard, miner management, and other pages to view the miner's hash rate and operational status.
Step 6: Claim Mining Earnings
ANTPOOL pays ALEO rewards daily according to the PPLNS payment scheme, and once your earnings reach the minimum payout amount, your mining profits will automatically be transferred to your configured wallet address. You can check your earnings on ANTPOOL's "Earnings Payment" page.
Congratulations! Everything is ready, and you can start your ALEO mining journey in ANTPOOL. If you need additional help or encounter any issues, please contact our customer service team at the email address support@antpool.com.
Happy mining!
